Michigan Japanese Speech Contest

JTAM and the Consulate General of Japan in Detroit celebrate the thirteen competitors of the 2025 Michigan Japanese Speech Contest!
Thirteen college and university students showed off their speech-writing and oration skills and were evaluated by our four judges (Consul General Kishimori of the Consulate-General of Japan in Detroit, Mr. Naoya Hattori of JBSD, Mr. Mike Gillum of JASMO, and Ms. Yuko Asano of the JSD Women's Club), and received wonderful prizes for their efforts.
We applaud all students for their outstanding work. It was fun, inspiring, and even informative to listen to your speeches. We hope you continue your Japanese studies!
JTAM presented the 29th Annual Michigan Japanese Language Speech Contest!
